This summer is buzzing...

...with projects, but I also find it necessary to furl in my octopus’ arms and give them a rest. For six days at Omega Institute, Rhinebeck, NY, on their R & R program, my sketchbook came out with all the inspiration I had been saving from magazines and travel ephemera. Like greeting old friends with beautiful stories, I relive tiny perfect moments like my fortune revealed from Thai Temples or a leftover Cambodian dollar worth $.0002. I’m working on a new photo-etched applique for the cover of swimming Koi. For me, it is essential to entomb lasting memories if only to make cherished new ones.
